November 2025: Why Society of Wolves Is Behind Movember

November is here. And at Society of Wolves, this month means something.

You'll see the moustaches. You'll see the campaigns. But behind all of it is a reality that doesn't get talked about nearly enough — the state of men's health in Australia.

This is why we're behind Movember. Not as a trend. Not as a marketing moment. But because it aligns with everything this brand stands for.

The numbers that stopped us in our tracks.

• 1 in 5 Australian men experience a mental disorder each year
• 3 in 4 suicides in Australia are men
• Suicide is the leading cause of death for men aged 15–44
• 1 in 5 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime
• Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 15–39 — with a survival rate of over 95% when caught early

Behind every one of those numbers is a man. A mate. A father. A brother. A partner. A son.

The silence is the problem.

Men are struggling — often without a word said. Not because they're weak. But because somewhere along the way, most of us were taught that silence was strength.

We know differently. Speaking out isn't weakness — it's leadership.

That's why Movember matters. Not the moustaches — the conversations they start. The permission they give men to say: I'm not okay. Or to reach out and ask a mate if he is.
